This year, the ASU Undie Run partnered with Move for Hunger, a non-profit that helps community food banks primarily by collecting non-perishable food that people don’t want when they’re moving.

To learn more about how food banks work and the need for non-perishable food, the ASU Undie Run and Move For Hunger staff visited St. Mary’s Food Banks in Phoenix. The warehouse was huge, but with so many people in need, the food goes fast.

Don’t forget to bring food to the event along with clothes to donate! Here’s a list of acceptable food items:

The ASU Undie Run staff braved the cold in their undies last night at the ASU-Stanford football game. Though ASU lost the game, it was still a great time. May 3rd is coming…

TEMPE, AZ – The final results are in and Arizona State University is the winner of the 2010 AXE Undie Run Challenge.

The competition brought guys and girls together to run in their skivvies, to help the homeless.

At each of 10 college campuses across the country, students literally took the clothes off their backs to support a local charity.

The Undie Run Challenge lasted from April 30 to June 9. The marketing firm that represents AXE, the sponsor, reported 19,340 pounds of clothing and $50,000 donated to various organizations that help the homeless.

Out of the 10 participating schools, ASU came in first place with 5,300 pounds of clothing. University of Texas at Austin came in second place with 3,200 pounds. San Diego State University was third with 2,600 pounds.

We are proud to announce we have posted our official event page which features all of the event details as well as RSVP information. The headlining entertainment will be Arizona Pro DJs featuring two DJs (Will & Hazardous), two percussionists (Stefan & Eli) and Arizona’s best dance troupe, Foot Klan. This high energy show will be a perfect combination for the pre-run show which begins sharply at 8pm and will end at 10pm when the run begins. The starting point and location of the pre-run show will be the ASU-Tempe Student Recreation Complex fields which are located here.
